Small Fly through the environment showcasing particles and models
Houdini procedural building testing
Creation of the sand dust particle. Collisions kills the dust particles after two hits.
This is a personal project I created during the two weeks of quarantine from the Corona Virus pandemic. I got inspired by Mad Max and the idea of a apocalyptic wasteland. I wanted to explore using my new knowledge of Houdini to create procedural buildings. During the two weeks I modeled assets in Maya, textured in Substance and created procedural buildings in Houdini, which later on I also textured in Substance. I utilized Quixel and Megascans for the foliage on the environment and all the destruction rubble. I also created a sand dust particle to demonstrate how sand has been traveling and affecting the wasteland, I created the particle inside of Unreal, using an alpha map I created in Photoshop. Besides the foliage and rubble, I modeled and textured all the other assets on the environment, including Max's iconic car the V8 Interceptor.
